“3[three]: the exhibit”, a group exhibition at Nails in the Wall Gallery at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen, New Jersey, in which I have a work on display, is now open! Among the pieces on view is “New Dawn (Strength, Faith, Hope)”, which previously appeared in “Culmination”, my recent solo show at Visceglia Arts Center at Caldwell University. I was glad to have attended the opening reception on Saturday, February 8, during which I was blessed to have caught up with gallery committee members and artists from the previous exhibition, become acquainted with others, and joined the collective celebration!
This is my second consecutive group show at this gallery, and the stakes were much higher than I realized. I was intrigued to learn at the reception that of the 180 artwork submissions, 60 were accepted from 41 artists. This bit of knowledge has compelled me to become even more thankful to be a part of this diverse, dynamic, and sophisticated exhibition! With that said, I would like to sincerely thank Deb Kmetz and the rest of the gallery committee for our continued rapport and for considering my work for an additional group show at the gallery! I could not be more elated to once again share my art with the local community! 🖼️🙏🏻
The body of work was selected and curated to address the significance of 3 in our world. This includes where we see and wonder about threes and thirds, how they bear relevance across many disciplines and affect our lives, and how they can be uniquely interpreted.
The exhibition will be on view from Saturday, February 8—Friday, May 2.
